From time to time, I take a break from social media. Often, it is when I retreat to that space void of constant chatter that I find myself listen better – to the voice of my heart, of God and of those who matter.
Now that I’m back, I intend to gradually fill you in on a few things I’ve been up to during this lapse of time. There were, as you might expect, a couple of outfit shots.
This maxi dress from H&M has emerged a wardrobe staple in recent months. Clearly, it is beautiful enough to hold its own, even in the total absence of accessories. But it is the versatility afforded by its button-down construction that has me sold: it can be demure or flirtatious, depending on how much leg the wearer chooses to bare. When the buttons are left completely undone, it also doubles as a statement-making outerwear.
And the great news is, this dress is currently marked down as H&M is having a seasonal sale. Otherwise, both this and this are lovely alternatives. Or, do you have any recommendations? Feel free to leave the links in the comment box.
Hello friends. Have you had a pleasant weekend?
Mine’s been relatively idle, for once: less scurrying from places to places; more breathing, reading, thinking, writing and making (I made this for Mother’s Day, by the way). It is highly refreshing. But of course, I’ve also been browsing around the web, even stumbled across a few links I think you may be interested in…
Because they were originally designed to suit the convenience of active women in the Victorian era, culottes often simulates the feminine appearance of a skirt while offering the comfort of a pair of trousers. Over the years, they’ve been drifting in and out of the mainstream. The last I heard, they’re cruising on the fashion radar once more.
